Highlights of WORM Team History

• We hosted a local competition in Los Altos, CA on November 18, 1999 with 10 FLL teams.
• WORM Robotics Team (FLL Team #80) won the 1st Place Performance Award and Best Presentation.
• We created an exhibit about our team, including a short video documentary, that was awarded a Blue Ribbon at the 2000 Santa Clara County Fair.
• We demonstrated our 1999 robot and others at an exhibit we created for the California State Fair, August 18-20, 2000.
• We were interviewed for several local television news spots that aired on WB20 and KNTV NewsChannel 11 in November and December, 2000.
• We hosted a local competition (at Cupertino High School) on November 18, 2000 with 16 FLL teams.
• WORM Robotics Team 1 (FLL Team #80) was awarded Best Presentation and Director's Award Runner-Up.
• WORM Robotics Team 2 (FLL Team #1267) was awarded Best Mechanical Design.
• At the Northern California state FLL Competition on December 3, 2000:
• WORM Robotics Team 1 (FLL Team #80) was awarded the top honor Director's Award, and was ranked 11th out of 66 teams in the performance trials with a score of 170.
• WORM Robotics Team 2 (FLL Team #1267) was ranked 12th out of 66 teams in the performance trials with a score of 169.
• The WORM teams provided Volcanic Panic robot demonstrations at the LEGO Mall Tour at Eastridge Mall in San Jose, CA on December 9-10, 2000.
